The Temecula Vail Ranch and Murrieta offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage partnered with Temeku Cinemas in Temecula early in December and collected more than 500 toy donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program at a family movie night event.
Attendees donated new, unwrapped toys and received free admission to a movie, free popcorn, treats and a visit with Santa Claus.
“We had a great event despite the rain,” Matthew Hauk, branch manager for the Temecula Valley offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, said in a press release. “There were tons of cookies, brownies, cupcakes and other treats, and Santa was there to spend time with kids and take photos.”
In addition to the sweet treats, a local Chick-fil-A restaurant brought more than 200 sandwiches and the Chick-fil-A cow to the event, according to the press release.
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to children in need.
